Account of expenditures and liabilities incurred by counties and towns, 1867.

Volume contains a listing of expenditures and liabilities incurred by localities during the Civil War. Each county account, broken down by town or township, lists amounts expended for each of the following categories: bounties, transportation, subsistence, general expenses, soldiers' families, and interest. County or town totals also are listed for all categories, and were probably compiled by the Adjutant General and later submitted to the federal government for reimbursement for local war expenditures.
